Jags vs Bengals match preview and statistics

In their last game, NFL game week 12, the Jaguars prevailed 24-21 on the road against the Houston Texans to maintain their lead in the AFC South. With two games remaining in hand over Houston and Indianapolis for the top spot in the division, the Jaguars have improved to 8-3 on the year.

QB Trevor Lawrence was the star of the show for the Jaguars as he finished the game with a rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown, and 364 passing yards. The young quarter completed 23 of 38 passes and had only one interception. Lawrence was also not sacked in the game, as he continues to show his sense of urgency and shiftiness as an elite playmaker.

Jaguars’ receiver Calvin Ridley finished the game with five receptions from six targets, scoring a touchdown and covering 89 yards to lead the receiving unit. Christian Kirk also covered 89 yards with 4 of 7 receptions. Running Back Travis Etienne Jr was also pivotal to the Jaguars’ run as he finished with 56 yards covered from 20 carries.

The Jacksonville Jaguars team news: Tackle Cam Robinson is out of this game due to a knee injury that kept him on injured reserve this week. Running back Travis Etienne Jr. (ribs), tight end Luke Farrell (toe), tight end Brenton Strange (foot), and cornerback Tyson Campbell (hamstring) are in doubt for this game.

The Cincinnati Bengals are having a horror show this season! They have a 5-6 record so far this season, which places them in the bottom half of the AFC North division. Their last game was a 16-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The loss was the third straight for the Bengals. It looks like the Bengals’ season is over, especially with star QB Joe Burrows out for the season.

The Bengals, backup QB Jake Browning, who will now fill in for the injured Joe Burrows, threw one touchdown pass and completed 19 of his 26 pass attempts for 227 yards. However, he threw a dreadful interception in the red zone. He was also sacked four times in the game.

Ja’Marr Chase led the receivers with 81 yards and four receptions without a single touchdown; it was a horror show by the Bengals. Tight end Drew Sample was clutch for the Bengals as he scored their only touchdown from his sole reception of the game,

The Bengals’ rushing game was non-existent, as they only covered 25 yards from 11 total carries. It was Joe Mixon who was responsible for 16 of those yards.

The Cincinnati Bengals team news: Burrow (wrist) is out for the season. The following players are questionable for the game: defensive tackle B.J. Hill (not linked to injury), cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (quad/ankle), tackle D’Ante Smith (knee), defensive tackle Jay Tufele (sickness), and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (not related to injury).

Trevor Lawrence is the key player to watch out for in the Jaguars. He is the brain of the Jaguar’s offense, with 249 of 370 passes completed for 2,746 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He will be key to the Bengals breaking down the Bengals’ defense in this game.

Ja’Marr Chase is the key player to watch out for. With Burrows out for the season, he is the next superstar in line. He has 75 catches for 914 yards and has scored 6 touchdowns in 11 games this season. He’s the Bengals’ best bet at taking something from this game.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Cincinnati Bengals (Super Bowl 2022) predictions and betting tips

Cincinnati’s fortunes took a hit following Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury. With three consecutive losses, the Bengals now stand at 5-6 for the season, and their playoff prospects are dwindling, notably worsened by their winless 0-4 record in divisional matches. Losing to a Pittsburgh team that has been struggling offensively shows how down-bad the Bengals are.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville has improved form recently, especially on their home turf. The Jaguars have an edge, with their former number-one overall pick leading the offense. Considering Cincinnati’s recent struggles, Jacksonville appears poised to capitalize, handing the Bengals their fourth consecutive defeat.

Predictions for the game are the Jaguars to win and over 48.5 points.
