Our Personal Experience – How Simple Is Too Simple?
Graphics
The visuals are exactly what you’d expect from a slot almost two decades old. As someone who’s used to test video and 3D slots, this game felt way too simplistic. The symbols aren’t as detailed, but we like the reel-machine look.
Sound
As for the audio, we enjoyed the background music, but it would have been nicer if each symbol had its sound when you get paid out. The sound is good overall, but if you were to play it for a longer time, the mute button might be your friend.
We haven’t played many 1-payline slots, so checking out Double Diamond was an adventure. There are only 6 symbols, so matching them is not as tough. We started playing with C$100 and ended up with C$88, which is decently close to the RTP percentage. However, we have to say that only 20 manual rounds and then 20 auto spins were played.
During the session, we noticed that it’s not hard to land on a Cherry symbol, as I got 13 in 40 spins. We also liked that the Double Diamond symbol doesn’t only come in a combo with low-paying symbols.
